Biography

I am head of the Variable Image Acquisition and Processing (VBV) research group at Fraunhofer IOSB , Karlsruhe, Germany. I received my Dr.-Ing. from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2018 for my work on light-field-based inspection of transparent objects , for which I was awarded the EMVA Young Professional Award 2019 . Prior to joining Fraunhofer IOSB, I worked as Lead Engineer for Computer Vision at ITK Engineering GmbH (Bosch Group). I also teach the graduate course Computational Imaging at KIT.
